FAQ IN PERSON TRAININGS
What language is the masterclass available in? Training is in English and Spanish, however all manuals are printed in English, If you would like a Spanish manual please let us know in advance.
Are trainings accredited? YES Our PMU 10 Hour Fundamental Trainings are accredited. Trainings that are not considered accredited will be Lashes & Brow sculpting.
How long are the lash trainings? Beginners trainings are 1 day, and advance trainings are 2 days. A strict schedule will be followed
How long is your brow sculpting masterclass? If you purchase our brow lamination hands on training that is only 1 day and will be strictly focused on Lamination & sculpting. Same goes for our Brow tinting and sculpting class. Our Brow Masterclass is 2 days and you will learn both techniques Brow Lamination and Brow Tinting & Sculpting.
Do you offer ongoing support? Please read carefully on what's provided in your training before purchasing. Some training include mentorship, and access to the facility and some do not. However no matter which training you purchased your instructor will be available to answer any questions or concerns. Do your classes provide models? No we do not provide models. It is the student's responsibility to have all models scheduled the day of trainings.
Is you masterclass beginner or advanced level? Our masterclass builds foundation knowledge from scratch. Is intended to be understandable with no initial training or experience.
Do all trainings come with a kit? Yes all trainings & masterclass come with starter kit

What is included in the AAM Fundamentals course?:The AAM Fundamentals Course is a 100-hour foundational program designed to teach you all core principles of permanent makeup, including sanitation practices, skin anatomy, color theory, mapping, and more. This 6-day in-person, hands-on training will cover Ombre Brows, Lip Blush, and Eyeliner Tattoo (Lash Enhancement) techniques. During the hands-on portion, you will complete 6 live model procedures—2 Ombre Brow, 2 Lip Blush, and 2 Eyeliner—to fulfill your Fundamentals requirements
What are the New Jersey state licensing requirements for permanent makeup?
To legally perform permanent makeup in New Jersey, you must complete the AAM 100-hour Fundamentals Course, which includes theory , hands-on training and 6 live model procedures (2 brows, 2 lips, 2 eyeliner).
After the course, NJ requires an apprenticeship with 9 additional model procedures (3 brows, 3 lips, 3 eyeliner). These can be scheduled anytime through our online model booking system. Each additional procedure is $200. You can pay this as you bring in your models, charger your models or go with one of our bundles to save money.
Once all training and model requirements are completed, you’ll be eligible to take the AAM Board Exam and become certified in New Jersey. We’re here to support you every step of the way
Is financing available for the course?
We know the AAM Fundamentals course is a big investment, so we offer flexible financing options. We accept Cherry, which provides up to 24 months of no-interest financing. You can get pre-approved for both options without affecting your credit score, making it easy to explore what works best for you.
Do I need to have any prior experience or training in permanent makeup to enroll in the course?
No previous experience or training is required to enroll in the AAM Fundamentals Course—just a strong passion for the industry and a willingness to learn
Do I need a cosmetology or esthetician license to enroll in the permanent makeup training program in New Jersey?No, a cosmetology or esthetician license is not required to enroll in permanent makeup training in New Jersey. You simply need to complete the AAM Fundamentals Course and fulfill the state’s additional licensing requirements to become a licensed permanent makeup artist.
What kind of ongoing support is provided after the course is completed?
We offer ongoing support and mentorship even after you complete the AAM Fundamentals Course. Whether you need help with technique, color theory, client work, or business guidance, we’re here to answer your questions and provide feedback. Our goal is to support your growth, refine your skills, and help you succeed as a permanent makeup artist long-term.
What are the class hours for the AAM Fundamentals course?The AAM Fundamentals Course runs for six days, Monday through Saturday. Training is 9:00 am–6:00 pm Monday to Wednesday, focused on core education like skin anatomy, color theory, mapping, and hands-on technique practice. Homework will be given every day to complete and go over in the morning.
Thursday through Saturday are model days, starting at 9:00 am with end times depending on model appointments—typically until 7:30 pm on Thursday and Friday, and until about 5:00 pm on Saturday.
This schedule ensures a strong balance of education and hands-on experience so you can build confidence and skill in permanent makeup.
How many students are typically enrolled in the AAM Fundamentals course?Our AAM Fundamentals classes are capped at 3 students to ensure personalized attention and hands-on support. Small class sizes allow for plenty of questions, individualized feedback, and ample practice time with live models—helping you build confidence and master your skills in a supportive environment.
Is the AAM Fundamentals course only for New Jersey residents? The AAM Fundamentals Course is open to students from any state. While it meets New Jersey’s licensing requirements, the AAM Board Certification you earn is recognized nationwide. If you live outside New Jersey, you’ll only need to complete the 6 model procedures included in the course; the additional 9 apprenticeship procedures are required only for NJ licensing. We’re committed to providing comprehensive training and support to help you succeed wherever you choose to practice.
